Yes. At renewal, you can upgrade or downgrade your motor insurance tier (Executive, Smart, Value) or adjust your home insurance covers. You can also add or remove optional extras such as rent-a-car, personal accident, or GCC territorial extension. Changes take effect from the renewal start date. For significant changes, call 800 772 to discuss your options.

Your NCD (up to 50% discount) is preserved when you renew your policy on time or within the grace period. If your policy lapses beyond the grace period and you purchase new cover later, you may need to provide a fresh NCD certificate to claim your discount. Renew before expiry to avoid any complications with your discount.

A 7-day grace period is allowed after your policy expiry date. During this period, you can still renew without starting a new policy. After 7 days, you must purchase a new policy entirely. There is no insurance coverage during any gap period between expiry and the new policy start date. Driving without valid motor insurance in the UAE is a traffic offence and may result in fines.

Go to livainsurance.ae/renew-your-policy and select “Home.” Enter your policy number to retrieve your renewal details. Review the quote, confirm your cover selections (Contents, Personal Possessions, Buildings), and pay online. Your renewed policy is issued immediately.
